Is deryck whibley’s ( from Sum 41) signature telecaster guitar by sqiuer good?

i don’t know if it is a good quality guitar or not. I was wondering of the features like the pick-ups and such are good and if i should get it, I play songs by Sum 41 and other punk bands……all the sites i’ve looked at had one or no reviews. here is a link to what it looks like http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Squier-Deryck-Whibley-Telecaster-Electric-Guitar519757?sku=519757
so if anyone owns it or knows anyone who owns it, it would be appreciated if you answered this
the price is actually lower than some of the other telecasters i’ve looked into

Some people will tell you Squier guitars aren’t that great. I checked your link and that guitar is a decent buy for the money.

I owned a Squier Telecaster for about a year and it was a good sounding instrument. I did end up trading my Tele for a Stagemaster with Seymour Duncan detonator pickups.

I currently own 2 Squier guitars and a BC Rich. My Squiers get more play than the BC Rich.

If you go the Squier route for a guitar make sure you get the Standard series or better. The Affinity series are the cheaper made guitars. Affinity guitars are made with lesser quality parts(wood,electronics).

So, to sum up, Squier is a lot of guitar for the money.
