Fender Deluxe

In a Fender Blues Deluxe is the reverb tank supposed to be covered in vinyl?
They do come with one, from the factory.
I think that Fender uses it for 2 reasons,
to protect the pan, like a “shock absorber”.
and to protect/reduce the noise the pan makes when the amp is “bumped”, while it is on.
It can really make a loud “crashing noise”,
(which is the springs bouncing around)
which is not good for the speaker, when the amp is bumped.
Also, those wires inside it, are VERY small,
be careful when messing with it,
they easy to break.
It will work OK without it,
But I’d want one on.
